Radagast on Eagle

  Next onto the paintstation was Radagast on eagle.  Only allowed myself one full day to complete this job and I'm actually quite surprised that I managed it.  Really nice model although Radagast himself seems kind of small and squashed up.  Thanks to Flame for assembling and priming for me.  Hope you enjoyed looking at the pics.  I'll leave you with the Foo Fighters and Everlong.

Azog & Mounted Thorins Company

With Flame away attending the ReDesolation of Stockport it was time to get down to some serious work and man did he not disappoint managing to complete conversions from foot to mounted on all members of Thorins Company utilising the Shadow and Flame Travelling dwarf kit available from the S&F Webstore.  He also managed to complete another Azog conversion for a client.  The Mounted Dwarf company will go to Shadow in the near future for paint jobs so stay tuned.   Flame has also been working on a

Queen Beruthiel (unreleased)

  Next we have an Unreleased Queen Beruthiel piece.  The base on this one was constructed by Flame along with the two scratch sculpted cats.  The client knew exactly what they wanted from the piece and supplied artwork for reference.  It is a pleasure to paint up these rarer sculpts.  I feel like painting my own version of Beruthiel now too.  Really nice model to paint, I hope you like her.           This update is a sad one for me I'm afraid.  When a friend or loved one passes I paint a model to send on their journey with them.  A good friend of mine sadly passed away this month and in a discussion with her son it was decided that I would paint Arwen to accompany her. I did not have a lot of time to spend on the piece but my heart and soul into it.  The script around the bottom of the base reads "The sun is within" Rest in peace Sheila.  You will not be forgotten.    Thanks for

  The last model to be painted for the easterling army commission.  Full army pictures are being edited by a proffesional photographer as we speak so stay tuned.  Quite a difficult model this one I think mainly due to the finecast material making the detail feel overly sharp if you know what i mean, nevertheless I'm glad he's done.    Thanks for looking, leave a comment and like & share.   Music this time by Skindred with warning.

Warg Riders

 Next up is a batch paint of warg riders with converted banner.  Client asked for variation in fur and orc skin colour which proved quite difficult when painting the whole lot together. Bases left blank at clients request so that they can base to match their existing movement trays.   Bad weather prevented me from taking outdoor pictures of these guys which is a little disappointing as the picture quality has suffered.  Such is life lol.     Thanks for looking!   Music from Disturbed "Down with

So next up we have the Iron Hills dwarves which have been converted using the Games Workshop Grim Hammer set and the Shadow and Flame Dwarf conversion kit.     The conversion kit pictured below alongside the GW Grimhammers  is available from the Shadow & Flame Online Store.  Flame has put together a series of You tube videos to demonstrate how to use the kit to convert Iron Hills dwarves.  You can find them here - Part 1  and Part 2.  Incidentally I painted a Grimhammer captain alongside the

Aragorn & Arwen wedding diorama

The client sent us a glass bowl and asked if we could build a landscape depicting Aragorn and Arwen with a marriage theme.  My initial idea was to have them standing on a bridge holding hands but for love nor money could i find the bridge i had pictured in my mind.  Then in passing I get talking to a fantastic guy on facebook named Endre Kovacs better known to many as Miniman and for his priceless unnofficial guide to the Lord of the Rings miniatures.  Anyway he took the specifications and

Balin ( Flame conversion)

As some of you may remember not long back Flame converted a Balin model to represent Balin after the battle of five armies during his quest to retake Moria.  Finally managed to get some paint on it.  As this piece is part of Shadows personal collection the pictures have also been added to the Erebor section of the Dead Marshes.  First up is the pictures of Flames work before paint.  and finally with completed paint and base work.  Thanks for looking.  Balin is up on Cool Mini Or Not for voting

Gundabad Spears
